Наша история
Origins and Early Development
- 1990-1991: OMNI Flow Computers, Inc. was established in 1990 in Sugar Land, Texas, with a singular focus: custody transfer measurement integrity.
The first OMNI flow computers were released in 1991 and immediately adopted in high-value custody transfer applications where reliability and auditability were non-negotiable. - 1991-1995: During its first five years, OMNI focused on engineering fundamentals that still define the platform today:
-
Firmware-centric architecture (not PC-based)
-
Deterministic, auditable measurement calculations
-
Hardware designed for continuous operation in harsh field environments
-
Consistent user interface philosophy to reduce operational risk
-
- 1995-2000: By the late 1990s, OMNI flow computers were being deployed across:
- Midstream pipeline custody transfer
- Terminals and marine loading systems
- Refining and petrochemical feedstock transfer
- Gas and liquids measurement applications
This period marked broad validation of OMNI systems in real custody transfer service, with many installations from this era remaining in continuous operation through 2025 —often upgraded through firmware and parts rather than replaced.
OMNI’s reputation for measurement integrity, longevity, and auditability was established during this time, forming the foundation for future international growth and regulatory approvals.
Growth and Continuous Improvement
-
2000s: The 3000/6000 Series undergoes continuous improvement, with multiple firmware and hardware updates that keep older units upgradeable.
-
2009: OMNI earns ISO 9001:2008 certification, underscoring its commitment to quality.
-
2016: The company achieves ISO 9001:2015 certification, raising the bar for its quality management system.
