Easy to
Use
OmniCom® is designed for day-to-day users, not computer experts.
Everything is in plain English, with values displayed in engineering
units. Safety limits are built-in that inhibit the possibility of
gross errors being made in the entry of criticalconfiguration data.
Meter and transducer calibration ranges can be entered in advance.
Entry of simple boolean logic statements and setpoints lets the computer
function as a small PLC and as a four-loop PID controller.
Custom Reports
Built-in report templates can be used for generating reports. Sample
custom report templates are also provided, allowing you to create
report formats to fit your own needs. Only simple text editing commands
are required.
Access Data and Make
Modifications Online
Remote real-time access via OmniCom's dial-up feature lets you access
data and make modifications online. Daily reports and stored historical
data can be retrieved and saved to disk.
Multi-port SCADA Capability
You can even predefine or modify three data packets totalling 48 different
data groups for fast response single-message polling by a SCADA host.
Accessing one computer at a meter station, or several, OmniCom®
gets you there. An Omni 6000's multi-port SCADA capability lets you
access the computers concurrently with the SCADA/DCS link. Three levels
of password access and serial communications passwords provide all
the security you'll ever need.
User Definable Help
Screens
You can customize OmniCom's Help screens to suit your personal preferences.
An on-screen editor allows you to scale and position windows, and
add, delete or edit text in any language.
Operations Utilities
View the physical and software-assigned I/O matchup and wiring diagrams
for instrument hookup and perform operator control tasks such as batching
and proving. Diagnostics can be read for each I/O point to determine
proper signal values.
Enhances Productivity
and Lowers Project Costs
Your investment in an Omni using OmniCom will pay for itself quickly
in cost savings. Approved meter data/configurations and reduced travel
to meter stations are just some of the benefits. By monitoring activity
through telephone modem access, you can quickly identify problems.
Communication
Serial port baud rates to 38.4Kbps, TCP/IP, and ModBus/TCP via ethernet
connection are supported.
Optimum Security
OmniCom® provides three levels of password access and serial
communications passwords for all the security you'll ever need.
