OMNICOM®

OMNICOM® for Windows® software

OMNICOM® for Windows® is a real-time PC configuration program for use with OMNI flow computers.

Designed around the OMNI operating system, it emulates the keypad data entries required to configure OMNI 3000 and OMNI 6000 flow computers and controllers.

Full-color pull-down menus and entry-sensitive help screens guide you quickly through an I/O configuration. Configuration can also be prepared offline and uploaded as needed.

*OMNICOM® for Windows® v1.54 (February 2013) is compatible for use with Revision xx.74 or higher EPROMs installed in the flow computer. Do not use with older versions of firmware as this may cause the contents of RAM in the flow computer to become corrupted. If an OMNI's SE module is upgraded with v1.57 or 1.57.60, it is highly recommended that you install, at a minimum, OMNICOM v1.48 to support the additional fields.

Key Features

  • Easy to Use
  • OMNICOM® for Windows® is designed for day-to-day users, not computer experts. Everything is in plain English, with values displayed in engineering units. Built-in safety limits inhibit the possibility of gross errors being made in the entry of critical configuration data. Meter and transducer calibration ranges can be entered in advance. Entry of simple Boolean logic statements and setpoints lets the computer function as a small PLC and as a four-loop PID controller.

  • Custom Reports
  • Built-in report templates can be used for generating reports. Sample custom report templates are also provided, allowing you to create report formats to fit your needs. Only simple text editing commands are required.

  • Enhances Productivity and Lowers Project Costs
  • An investment in an OMNI using OMNICOM® will pay for itself quickly in cost savings. Easy-to-enter meter data/configurations and reduced travel to meter stations are just some of the benefits. By monitoring activity through Ethernet or telephone modem access, you can quickly identify problems.

  • Communication
  • Serial port baud rates from 1.24 to 57.6 Kbps, TCP/IP, and Modbus/TCP via Ethernet connection are supported.

  • Multi-Port SCADA Capability
  • You can predefine or modify three data packets totalling 48 different data groups for fast response single-message polling by a SCADA host. Accessing one computer at a meter station, or several, OMNICOM® gets you there. An OMNI 6000's multi-port SCADA capability lets you access the computers concurrently with the SCADA/DCS link. Three levels of password access and serial communications passwords provide all the security you'll ever need.

  • Operations Utilities
  • View the physical and software-assigned I/O matchup and wiring diagrams for instrument connections and perform operator control tasks, such as batching and proving. Diagnostics can be read for each I/O point to determine proper signal values.

  • Access Data and Make Modifications Online
  • Remote real-time access via OMNICOM®'s dial-up feature lets you access data and make modifications online. Daily reports and stored historical data can be retrieved and saved to disk.

  • Optimum Security
  • OMNICOM® provides four levels of password access and serial communications passwords for all the security you'll ever need.
