Account Manager

The Account Manager assists in planning, organizing, and implementing sales programs and in developing quarterly sales forecasts and other key performance indicators. Assignments are broad in nature, requiring originality and ingenuity where success-minded and driven individuals utilize attitude and ability, rather than history, to create and achieve the team's desired results.

Responsibilities

  • Aid in achieving the company's strategies to:
    • Increase sales volumes.
    • Work with sales representatives and resellers.
    • Gather and evaluate market intelligence with the team.
    • Report on market conditions and competitor activity in both territories and market verticals.
  • Exhibit the ability to manage multiple projects and changing priorities.
  • Work effectively in a team environment.

Experience
and Skills

  • Knowledge of flow measurement and control systems of principally hydrocarbon fluids essential.
  • Sales experience with oil and gas pipelines.
  • Sales experience with terminal, refinery, and petrochemical operations.
  • Sales experience with solution selling.
  • Knowledge of PLC/DCS control system architectures.

Education
Requirements

Engineering bachelor's degree (BS or BA) or equivalent from an accredited four-year college or technical school plus 5 years of related sales experience, or 10 years of an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Important
Notes

  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Residence in the Houston metro area is preferred but not required.
  • Must be able to get a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) within 90 days of hire.

Additional
Information

  • 50‑70% USA or overseas travel, as directed, required for attending seminars, trade shows, customer visits, and reseller selection/​maintenance.
  • May be based in the corporate office and have Houston-based clients.
