The OMNI Flow 3000/6000 Key Features:
      500 msec calculation cycle
Photo-optical isolation of each I/O point
The isolation of circuitry via photo-optical devices from all field wiring prevents accidental damage to the electronics, including that caused by static electricity. The isolation also inhibits electrical noise from inducing measurement errors. All I/O is modular and plug-in for easy field maintenance and replacement.
      Online Configurable SCADA data packet
32 bit processing with math co-processor
A powerful 16/32 bit, CMOS microprocessor and 32 bit floating point math co-processor are used for high-speed execution of both high-level and assembler code instructions. They provide in excess of 1 MTOPS. A hardware real-time clock is also incorporated. Time-keeping continues even when power is lost to the OMNI, which automatically resets on power-up. Time and duration of power failure is logged, and printed when power is restored. Up to 1 Mbyte of CMOS SRAM and 1 Mbyte of CMOS EPROM are standard on the CPU module. All SRAM is backed up by nickel-cadmium batteries.
4 line, alpha-numeric, backlit LCD display
The 4 line x 20 alpha-numeric character, back-lit Liquid Crystal Display is updated every 500 ms and displays all messages and system variables in English language engineering units. Four dual-color LEDs indicate various operating modes and alarms. Three nonresettable 6 digit electromechanical counters are included on the front panel and can be programmed to count gross, net mass or energy units at any rate up to 10 counts per second.
      Communications to 38.4K Baud
Multiple port high-speed serial communications up to 38.4K baud is provided for direct interface with SCADA and process control mainframes. Software selectable baud rates also allow for multi-drop RS232C communications with printers, PCs, and various brands of digital transmitters.
      Stored reports and data archiving
      34 button, alpha-numeric keypad
Control of the flow computer is via the front-panel 34 button, imprinted alpha-numeric character membrane keypad with tactile domes and audio feedback. Imprinted characters are color coded to indicate operator and program functions, as well as primary and secondary alpha-numeric functions. The keypad provides the user with a unique on-line capability to configure measurement and control data, perform diagnostic tasks and display operator information. Context-sensitive help screens are provided as an additional aid. Configuration, program and diagnostic data can be entered via the keypad or remotely by serial hook-up into battery-backed up, CMOS SRAM memory. Security codes and an internal mechanical switch ensure that configure/program functions can be disabled when required.
