ELECTRONIC DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER (entry Level)

OMNI Flow Computers Inc., a highly successful specialized international industry leader in the design, developmen,t and manufacture of flow computers and controllers used in the oil and gas industry, is seeking an Electronic Development Engineer.

Duties: 3 to 5 years experience embedded microprocessors, not only programming of ICS, but system integration with other components. The candidate should also have exposure to hardware, interface software, and operating systems. Knowledge of digital design architectures utilizing microprocessors, FPGA's, CPLD's. Schematic entry and modification. SMT and thru-hole soldering. Assists in the development of electronic products using various PC programs and Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools. Designs include those used in the company's products, test equipment and fixtures as required. Discuss layouts, procedures, problems with Design Engineer. Draws, sketches design details and functional criteria of electronic modules and units. Assemble experimental circuitry or complete prototype models according to engineering instructions, technical manuals and knowledge of electronic components. Recommend changes in circuitry to simplify assembly and maintenance. Set up standard test apparatus or devises test equipment and circuitry to conduct functional, operational, environmental, and life cycle tests to evaluate performance and reliability of prototype or production units.

Education and Work Experience: Engineering degree (B.S.) and three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
